I just attended the annual ARCSA Rain Water Harvesting Conference in Santa Monica, CA. I participated in a one day workshop, that I wish had been a two day workshop.
The information was very good and well presented. I am working on my Rain Water Harvesting certification and attending this workshop was the last thing I had to do before taking my test.
Rain Water Harvesting in Arizona perhaps may be thought of as an albatross, but even with our 5 to 6 inches of rain per year in the Phx area, we can benefit from having a Rain Water Harvesting system on our homes and businesses.
For ever square foot of roof, you can collect .6 gallons of water for every one inch of rain. For a small 2000 square foot roof that amounts to aproximatly 7,000 gallons of water every year. Well worth cutting that amount of water from our water bill, and saving that precious resource.
